Happy 2007!!!

Sorry for the lapse in pictures. We're feeling a bit frantic these days. I will update our shutterfly site in the next day or so as well. Enjoy these shots for now and I'll take more and post them in 2007. Happy New Year!
Graham is almost always in a good mood around here... especially when we're heading outside to play...
What fun! Blue ball and a drumstick at the same time...
This little kitchen is definitely a favorite right now. Graham cooks when Mama and Dada cook and cooks on his own throughout the day as well.
Grahamy sits at the table for all his meals, uses a fork and spoon fairly well and has mastered a big-boy cup. As he often likes to say (and we repeat), he is our "super-duper big boy!" In Graham-speak, it comes out sounding like "suba-duba bi-boy." Cute!
Here is a picture of Graham's little kitchen and some of his kitchen gear...
The chef in action...
This is Graham and Bear Chair...
Thanks to Graham's G.G. for finding Bear Chair just in time for Christmas!
Grahamy absolutely loves listening to music. He knows how to work the CD player in his room, and despite appearances, he is not sleeping in this picture. He's resting and listening to his new Christmas CD.

Christmas Day

Here are some much-anticipated pictures from Graham's Christmas. It was sweet, silly and extremely fun. This little boy is a beam of light and laughter in our house and we couldn't be sad in his presence. We missed you all, but we were happy and content here. Love to you all!
Basketball or soccer ball?
Score!
Playing peek-a-boo with a llama...
Cooking in the kitchen while Mama and Dada tackle some presents...
Dada's favorite toy...

Santa brought Graham a kitchen this year...

PAPA!!!

Dada's on the road to recovery, but we got a little dose of Papa in the house to help ease him back into full mobility. Here are some pictures of Grahamy and Papa bonding over Graham's favorite book (of the moment). We're on our own for Christmas now, which is a little sad and a little sweet. We'll take pictures over the next few days as we attempt custard and other traditions on our own for the first time. We have one anxious little boy here, so hopefully Santa will make an appearance soon so Graham can stop pacing around the chimney. Merry Christmas! We love you all!!!

Grandma Mellon's here...

Grandma Mellon came to the house this past week for "Round 2" Scott & Graham care. Despite the circumstances, we were delighted to see her and thankful for her cooking and company. Graham is getting quite spoiled!
Christmas is on the way, but it's a day at the park here in Charlotte. Graham, Dada (sitting and taking pictures), Grandma and Auntie M enjoy the 70-degree weather and park equipment.
It's a family affair...
Samson wants to take a ride on the slide too!
Auntie M walks up the slide behind Grahamy...
Almost at the top...
Graham is helped UP the slide by Grandma and Auntie M... SWING!
This is definitely not a pretty picture of Mama, but it portrays one of my favorite parts of the day. Graham loves to get in the bed with me in the morning. He flips through books, sings a few songs and chats with me while I wake up. It's the perfect way to start the day!

DOCTORS, MORE DOCTORS AND FUN WITH NANA...

Graham buzzed through his 18-month appointment yesterday. As usual, he received checks and applause. He stood on the big-boy scale when requested for the very first time, which was a big achievement since he has always been afraid of the baby scale. He is now in the 80% for his height and weight.
These pictures were taken for Graham's doctor, since she asked if he is capable of stacking at least four blocks together. Grahamy has been stacking for quite some time, and is not only capable of stacking more than four blocks together, but is also quite keen on stacking them in the proper order. He takes after his Mama and likes to keep his world organized. Yes, we know he's a little genius!
Now, here is a picture of Graham and poor Dada. For those of you out there who don't know, Dada had an emergency appendectomy on Saturday. We are so glad to have him safe and home with us now! Our unit just doesn't work without him. Having said that, Dada will be unable to pick up Graham for 4 weeks, which is causing the dynamic in our house to change a bit. Graham is looking at Dada's owie a lot and the two are dancing on the floor (the picture above) instead.
Graham is so happy to have Dada home and feeling a little better!
Nana has been here helping since Scott's surgery and we are so thankful to her and all our friend's and other family members who have stepped forward to help us out as well. One thing is for sure though... Graham thinks he is KING! He is Nana's little shadow right now.
Just one more of the same old ball-in-the-hall shot...
A traveling harp - what fun!
Graham wakes up to NANA in the house!

Graham is a champion pointer!
Graham's backyard is really starting to suit him...
Our little chalk artist...
Here's picture of Graham dragging his Big Blankies...
Graham now has TWO blankies! We bought him a Big Blankie to replace Blankie, hoping he would use it as a cover now that the winter chill has appeared. He adores Big Blankie and does use it as a cover, but he has not forgotten about Blankie. So, the joke is on us.

Graham insists on being involved in all the household tasks these days. He stands on a kitchen chair while I cook and waits for his turn...
Grahamy loves to point out and then repeat the foods he recognizes. He is also the official cheese-sprinkler and pot-stirrer...Early morning games with Mama...
Graham and Mama wrapping presents under the Christmas tree first thing Saturday morning...
Graham thinks we should leave this in the kitchen! Mama and Dada do not agree...
Standing on his head at the top of the slide...
Graham is climbing EVERYTHING, so we bought him this Little Tykes gym a while ago and first assembled it in our kitchen. Yes, we're adding to the ugly plastic in our backyard, but it's temporary. We'll put up a real swing set when he's older.
