MEET PETE

Introducing the newest member of the Mellon family: Pete Macaroo Mellon, otherwise known as Pete. He's Grahamy's cat, which is why he has a first, middle and last name. We're calling him our $10,000 cat since we're now getting hardwoods installed throughout our house in order to combat the itchy throat/eyes that accompanied Pete into our house. We're going to do everything possible to keep Sweet Pete!

Sorry, I just had to post this picture. Pete LOVES Scott!!!
Look how sick poor little Pete looks in this picture... He's truly the picture of health today, but when we first brought him home from the shelter, he was scrawny, full of worms and a raging case of conjunctivitis.
Pete thinks he's a dog. He eats food off the floor, chases balls, loves cuddles and insists on being with us at all times. He even lets Jamie poke him, fall on him and throw things at him. For a cat, he's a pretty good pick!
And Scott's new baby! Not a great shot, but it's a beauty! Paul, he swears he'll grill through the winter!
Here's Grahamy's chalk version of the solar system... he's turning into quite an artist!

By the way, he had help with the yellow moon and the stars. But, he did the rest himself.

What a handsome bunch!!!

Colorado Favorites

We're back from our FABULOUS Colorado vacation and I'm totally overwhelmed by the number of pictures I have neglected recently. So, for now I'm going to skip over Grahamy's 4th birthday and Jamie's 1st birthday and post loads of pictures from our week with the Schneiders, Nana and Papa out in Colorado. Aunt Nan, Uncle Paul and Cousin Maddy were the best hosts we could have ever imagined and their beautiful place, which is nestled at the foot of the Rockies, was the most perfect vacation spot we could have ever imagined! It even included a barn, horses, goats, CATS, dogs, wild turkeys, bunnies, lots of rocks and woods and an ATV! I took almost 300 pictures and will most likely post more later, but here are some of them (in no particular order). Oh, and Jamie Roo spent the week finessing his walk and is on his way to a run... Thank you again to the Schneiders for turning over your entire house/car/fridge/etc. to us for the entire week. We love you!!!
