HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

We were lucky enough to spend Thanksgiving Day in Hendersonville with Nana, Papa, Ganny, Gamps and an assortment of critters. Grahamy was charming as always and we spent the day cooking, laughing, playing and eating lots! We are so blessed and so thankful! Here are a few pictures from our day...

THANKSGIVING WEEKEND CONT.

Graham loves books! Here, Papa is reading a history book to him while he listens intently.
After we wrapped up our Thanksgiving festivities, Scott, Graham and I drove up to Mars Hill and spent the remainder of our weekend with Nana and Papa. Here are even more pictures...

On Saturday, we were fortunate enough to attend a fabulous puppet show in Asheville. The puppets were large, formed out of foam and were very realistic. This picture was taken in the theatre before the show.

Our friends Dorrie and Ellie came to the show as well. Ellie is only 8 weeks younger than Graham and then kids get along very well.

The kids sat in their seats for quite a while, but the show was an hour long, so after a while, they became restless and moved to the floor with Nana. Nana was in heaven!!!

Here's Graham playing SIBERIAN TIGER with Papa. This is basically a wrestling/tickling game that Graham created and he only plays it with Papa. The two of them run around and roar at each other like Siberian tigers (???) and then fall to the floor and wrestle a bit.

It's a good thing Papa never truly grew up!!!

Sorry for the picture delay. Here are some pictures from an afternoon at a local children's museum, or more accurately, a warehouse full of educational toys. We attend from time to time with friends, though Graham would rather do the rounds than socialize.
Tool Man Graham

Playing drums and the piano at the same time... We'll call this multitasking!
Arrgh Captain!!!
Reading his Bear Book and patiently waiting for his french toast...
Graham is extremely ticklish! Here, he is already anticipating the ZIP-ZIP-ZIP of his jacket before a walk...

Using a kitchen chair to distort shadows on the kitchen floor...
Chatting with Aunt Missy and Alarm Clock on a lazy Sunday afternoon...
A new favorite bedtime story: Dad's complete history of the Redsox. Graham loves listening to it, we assume, because it is full of numbers and recognizable words. So, Scott started reading at the beginning and reads 20 pages at a time. Let's see how long it takes them to finish the entire book! It puts Mom right to sleep as well!!!

Graham the Ham!!!
My boys after dinner and a walk...
LEAPING!!!
Graham will sometimes smile on command, but this is often what we get... CHEESE!!!
Graham votes too! Graham has been voting since he was only 6 months old.
After we voted at the local high school, Graham wanted to watch the football team practice. He got carried away mimicking the players and ended up covered in mud. He had to ride home in a diaper.

We were lucky enough to spend this past weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Mellon! Grahamy was so excited to show them his favorite toys and books and they were amazed by his cleverness and sense of humor. We spent a good part of Saturday at the National Whitewater Park, located minutes from our house. It is beautifully maintained with walking paths, biking trails, rock climbing and lots and lots of WATER!!!
Graham could barely contain his excitement as we drove down to the water park, so naturally, he led the pack upon our arrival!
Skipping and...
leaping out of sheer joy and excitement!
A sweet shot of Graham with Daddy and Aunt Melissa, or Aunt Missy as he has suddenly started calling her...
The boys watching the waves...
As soon as Grandma stepped foot in the house, Graham insisted on reading with her and...
showing her his toys...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Since Graham is VERY hands-on, we decided not to carve pumpkins this year since the thought of knives (even blunt ones) around our 2 1/2 year old gave us chills. Grahamy painted our pumpkins instead!

At the very last minute, Graham decided that he preferred his impromptu soccer costume from last weekend over his much-anticipated kitty costume. He's posing here with one of his favorite toys: Alarm Clock! He loves it because it counts numbers!
All grins after our Halloween walk around the neighborhood. We came home empty-handed (Graham doesn't eat candy), but full of stories.
