Graham loves getting mail!!!
Thanks Nana and Papa! Grahamy loves his new picture book!!!

Listening to music before bed...

So sad! Graham hates his boots! He prefers to play out in the rain in his sneakers instead...

A few weekend pictures...

Thursday, February 22, 2007

Graham insists on brushing his own teeth. He gets a little help in the beginning and constant supervision, but he is one thorough little boy.

Check out the rock in Graham's right hand... He's multi-tasking!
He's fearless, he's energetic and he loves rocks!

We have "Big Rock" in our backyard and Graham pretends he's a climber every chance he gets. He often takes smaller rocks with him to Big Rock and then compares the difference in size. Maybe he'll be a geologist when he grows up...

Anyone want pizza? Graham loves to cook and serve!
We've heard him correctly pronounce "pepperoni" a few times, but most of the time it still comes out sounding like "pep-an-aba." He gives a gallant effort, regardless of the outcome.

Mama's Boy

Dad captured us in the middle of our song...

Who knows what we'll look like in our next round of pictures since Graham is on his second week without a nap. We've tried adjusting it slightly and moving his bedtime a bit, but he still prefers to play, despite our pleas. So, we're promoting a "quiet time" during his usual nap and praying for our sanity since he sometimes turns into quite a bear by bedtime. Nana and Papa think this is just payback since I was never much of a sleeper myself. Graham appears to need his nap though, so we're hoping this is just a phase.

Hope you're all sleeping well!

Graham at a neighborhood pond...
Graham and I sing all the time and Old McDonald is one of our favorites. He likes to choose the farm animal and then sing along with me, especially because he's so good at making really good animal noises. He sings the rest of the song pretty well too. While we were walking and looking for rocks, Graham repeatedly requested "wolf" because he wanted to howl with me. So, I took a picture of him howling...

Preparing to throw a rock...

Graham has long conversations with his rocks before he tosses them...
No more assistance needed on stairs! Graham's truly a big boy now!!!
Here's a picture from the beginning of the week when we met our buds at the Discovery Place. Graham loves the animals, especially the bears and Rocky Raccoon.

GRAHAM'S FIRST HAIRCUT

Here are a few pictures displaying Graham's first haircut. Graham was quite a trooper through the entire ordeal. No tears, no complaints. He sat in his bedroom and listened to his favorite CD while I trimmed his hair. It's not perfect, and Scott thinks it is slightly "bowl-shaped," but it didn't cost $27.99 like the kid cuttery places charge. With practice, my technique will improve.

He looks like such a big boy now!!!

AFTER
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BEFORE
He really only needed a trim around his ears and along the back of his neck...

Graham's Early Morning Walk

Graham loves to take walks after breakfast! He looks for the neighborhood stream and HIS waterfall, he still collects valuable pinecones and rocks, and he takes inventory of everything that he regognizes and can pronounce. He especially likes the "yellow boat, "kitty cat" (when we can find it), "swing" and the "clouds" in the "blue sky."
We bring Bike with us on our walks these days since we often end up a long way from home.

Here we go on our next adventure...

A taste of warm weather!

It was 65-degrees by the mid-afternoon and we were outside again! No jackets needed this time!!!
Grahamy-the-Great in action! Graham has been wearing 3T for quite some time now, but his nice winter coat is a 2T. He looks like a Gap commercial in these pictures because he can't squeeze into his coat anymore and we decided not to buy him a 3T coat for the little winter we have left. We're outfitting him in 3T sale items instead. I normally dislike using clothes as bilboards, but I am making an exception since my little boy grows like a weed!

Graham also likes to drop rocks off his climber and down his slide...

Up the steps, rock in hand...

He always slides down on his belly...

While Mama changes the sheets on the guest bed, Graham gets in the way by jumping on the bed. He has such a traffic-stopping smile!

Graham and Clara spent a Saturday morning at the Discovery Place, which is a fabulous kid museum. Not only do the kids love the toddler room, with the climbers and water, but they also really like the science exhibits. I didn't get pictures of Graham talking to the giant bear, but we visit a lot, so we'll get more pictures on another occasion.

Graham's fearless these days!!!
