Hot and silly after a day in the sun... These are the last pictures we will post for about a week. We're jumping on an airplane (or "dinoplane" as Graham keeps chanting) on Friday. We'll post pictures when we return from our visit with Aunt Hannie, Aunt Lindsey, Aunt Melissa, Grandma & Grandad Mellon and GG (who is about to celebrate her 100th birthday).
Graham helped me plant these and then lovingly watered them with his little watering can.
This is the first day I have worked in the yard and it is a MESS!!!
Even Grahamy is nipped by the bug and he starts cleaning out his sandbox...

My first roman shade -- not perfect, but pretty good. I did all the sewing, but the measurements stumped me, so I cheated and bought a kit.
Mom, can you tell anything from this picture? I took this color from the fabric, but I can't tell if it's subtle enough. I didn't think I should go any darker. Not slate blue enough?

Late update

Here's Graham on Saturday -- bouncing around before soccer. He gets so excited about "kick ball" these days!!!
And here's Graham showing off the big boards on the kitchen floor. After soccer on Saturday, Grahamy and I spent the day out with friends because Daddy and "Uncle" Charlie spent the day putting up the wainscoting and molding in our kitchen. It's taking me a while to pick a paint color, but I'll post pictures of their AMAZING handiwork before too long.

We have a lot of bees in our neighborhood right now because the trees and flowers are in full bloom. Graham HATES bees and one of his well-known phrases is, "bye-bye bees." For the last week, he has insisted on our company when stepping foot outside and he has often become distressed by the buzzing bees. It's actually really sad because he plays so well and independently in his yard. This picture is sort of funny though because his gaze is fixed on a bee. Poor Graham!
Since birth, we have given Graham lotion rubs after baths. Recently, he has started to ask for his rub-down in the middle of the day. He likes to have his legs, arms and especially his feet rubbed. We call him King Graham because he wiggles his little toes in the air and giggles in delight. Spoiled, huh?

Here's the little Pharaoh himself!!!

Backwards on his bike -- Distress!

Part of our daily walk and routine -- looking for the "Real Kitty-cat" -- since Grahamy has a toy one as well.

GRAHAM IS A SOCCER STAR!!!

Please don't make fun of us because we signed Graham up for toddler soccer. He is a little young for soccer (most of the kids are between 2 1/2 & 5), but he was born kicking a ball!!! How many pictures of hall soccer have we posted over the last two years? The rules of the game are still a little beyond his comprehension, but he has a powerful kick and a wild spirit. He's quite at home among all the dirt and grit and fresh air. Sadly, I missed his first lesson, but Daddy took pictures when he could. We'll post more week-by-week...
Toddler soccer has no goalie and no real rules. It's more about learning the game with a lot of parental involvement... All the kids start out with balls so there are no squabbles...

ROCKS TO GO

Graham likes to pick up a few rocks from the yard before we head to the car.

Little Daredevil

Graham is one edgy little boy!!!

And for everyone else out there, here's a picture of Grahamy. He's begging to go outside of course, which explains the sour look on his face. Graham loves to pick out his clothes in the morning because he is fascinated with colors. This picture is a perfect example of a Grahamy outfit. "Blue pants, green shirt, yellow (or ga-ga) jacket."

Okay Ganny and Mom, here are the pictures I promised. My drapes! They aren't perfect and I did rip out one seam, but they're not bad for a starter pair. I will work on the ties in my spare time, but I'm glad to have the 10+ yds. of fabric off my dining room table.
My chickens are for the living room!!! I will post another picture when they are finally finished and hanging.

Nana and Papa come to town!!!

Graham and Papa are playing one of Graham's favorite games... "anounce which color block you're holding and then place it somewhere on your body." It's educational and fun and Graham made it up all on his own!!!

Graham loves green, blue and orange!!!

Purple block on Papa's head...

Papa fills Graham's bucket...

Nana and Grahamy enjoy the wa-wa and rocks...

And here's Grahamy with a block on his head...

Graham loves to help out in the kitchen, especially when he gets to lick the spoon!!!
Just imagine that guilty grin of pleasure tripling after the appearance of cheese and meat sauce...

While I make Grahamy's breakfast, he often sits and makes mine. He stirs soups, stacks sandwiches and mixes casserols. Then, he insists on a taste-test, ingredient by ingredient.
What to cook for breakfast this morning...

Here's Austin with Graham's beloved Green Frog.

Even climbing stairs with rocks...
Hoarding rocks...
A play-date with Graham's buddy Austin and what do we do? Throw rocks in a bucket of water of course!!! Austin blows bubbles for a while, but not Graham...
