We're laying low today since the gas relief we apparently received over the weekend is gone and most stations are back to empty. More importantly, Wachovia, one of the city's biggest assets, not to mention the bank that employs our daddy and husband, is being bought by Citigroup. More accurately, Citigroup will acquire Wachovia's massive deposit network, as well as over $300 billion worth of Wachovia's loan portfolio and the company's debt. For sure, this means changes are coming for our city and our family. Keep us in your thoughts.

Our Grahamy is just enamored with music these days and so some of the perks of living in a city are the quality and variety of the performing arts! The Charlotte Symphony has an organization for kids called the "Lollipops," which is designed to introduce children to music. Graham is now an official Lollipop. He and I attended our first concert today, preceded by a Musical Petting Zoo, where he was encouraged to touch instruments and witnessed demonstrations firsthand. The one picture I managed to take (above) captures his expression as he realizes the instruments are about to play!
The Charlotte Symphony is the largest and most active professional performing arts organization in the central Carolinas. Scott and I have attended quite a few outdoor concerts over the years and now we are looking forward to becoming loyal Lollipops as well!
Here's Grahamy on the train as we head to the theatre... Charlotte is finally getting gas, but this past week of NO GAS just reinforced our need to become less dependent on our vehicles, especially our gas guzzler. We're saving up our money for our next environmentally-friendly "family car."
After lunch, Grahamy and I played around at a fountain in the Bank of America Building and another one across the street. He just loves water as long as it's not touching him! Silly boy! :) He was such a sweet date and I look forward to next month when we can do it again!!!
Now then, what's a post without a few pictures of the baby?

Just hanging out one morning...
Grahamy hiding under bedroom pillows with Daddy...
A little early for the exersaucer, but we don't leave Jamie in it for long and he seems to enjoy it...
Graham likes it too!
