Graham's pacing back and forth, watching the cars, talking to the neighbors and waiting for Dad to come home from work...

If you're ever here in Charlotte, don't be surprised if you see the three of us standing on the sidewalk by our house with a giant sign that says, "WILL WORK FOR BABY'S FOOD!" Graham is only 11-months old and is already an eating machine. We're considering calling up our USAA guys and asking if we can tag an extra Roth-IRA onto Graham's college fund. We might need to dip into it when he's 16 to pay the grocery bill.

After dinner and wipe-down, Graham disappears down the hall while I clean up the kitchen. After a while, I find him in his room reading to himself. I had to sneak up on him to take these pictures.

Graham finishes his whole serving of lasagna and all his cantaloupe and peas (though I forgot to take that picture until he was almost done).

Graham's portion of lasagna is on the plate. My portion (a smaller portion) is sticking out of the casserole spoon.

It's lasagna night and Graham is ready to eat (hence the impatient look on his face). We obviously feed this child -- look at him! Graham eats more than I do at a single sitting. And, I can prove it!

Graham loves the taste of music!

Grant and his mom (Heidi) are still poking their way through the raptor center, but Graham has more important things on his mind: FOOD!

When we're home in the afternoon, it's our ritual to greet Dad as he returns from work. Graham refuses to let rain stop the ritual!

This is called "inhibitory control" because the kids go from being really wound up to sitting still (and listening to different instruments) for about 5 minutes. It is one of my favorite parts of Kindermusik!

Here's one happy little boy! He spent the afternoon walking around the house, talking to the birds, visiting the neighbor's dog and watching ants crawl on the sidewalk. It's so much fun to be 11-months old!

Here's the future of the Mellon walk!

Graham no longer wants to be carried, carted, pushed or driven around. He wants to walk through the grocery store and, as this picture depicts, push his own stroller. We are going to spend the next few years chasing after this super-fast little boy!

Graham tolerates his sunglasses for about 10 minutes before he takes them off. He has his Mama's eyes, so he's going to have to get used to wearing them!
